Today, thanks to new technology, the region has led the nation in energy independence. As new plants find innovative uses for the region’s natural gas, and new businesses arrive to take advantage of low energy costs and a highly skilled workforce, Pittsburgh will rise once again as a corporate center, home to innovation and manufacturing – all thanks to a burgeoning energy sector.
